Happy Tuesday, sweet friends! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. This weekend, I went to my very first poetry slam and let me tell y’all, it was SO good. I have no idea why I have waited so long to go to my first one but I will be back again. For anyone who loves visual art, I think poetry is the next step forward in that category. Between the voices, the expressions and storylines, it was amazing to witness how these artists share their truths through poetry in the form of a slam. Also this weekend, my photographer and I sought out a new place to shoot for all the fall vibes. In my town, we don’t have a huge selection of colorful walls and gorgeous scenery, so we have to get a little creative when it comes to blog photos and plot out areas to explore before we even start taking pictures. I don’t know about y’all, but seeing gorgeous fall leaves hitting the ground and full colorful trees taking over all the parks, is what I live for.
Today, I’m sharing some of my fall fashion essentials and favorites. Honestly, I have never attempted to wear leather leggings but I was feeling fairly bold when I ordered these so I figured there was no time to try them like the present. During fall, I tend to wear the same staple pieces and mix them accordingly: Thick cardigans, scarves, basic tees and over the knee boots. No matter if I am going to work (very laid back dress code) or out with my friends, I recycle the same fall pieces. The best part about these leggings is that they are so comfortable and are midrise – so you don’t have to worry about flashing the crowd when you bend over. Also, since they are ankle length, you can style them with booties or pumps this season and still be quite warm. My scarf and tee are basic pieces that you can score for super cheap. Seriously, this tee was $6 and scarf was $5 and I have had both of them for two years now. As always, my biggest splurge for fall is shoes. And if you know me IRL, you know that my shoe collection is a little insane but I continue to shop shoe sales whenever I can. These OTK boots are from the new Target line, A New Day, and are so comfortable. They are around $60 but go on sale frequently and are worth every single penny.
Fun fact: My watch was my very first collaboration as a blogger almost a year ago! The main reason why I love it and find myself constantly wearing it is because most people don’t own wood watches (meaning non-bloggers), so it is a good conversation piece when I’m out and about. And my bracelet stackis only $13 for all 3, which is a major steal. Anyway, that’s all I have for y’all today! Thank you so much for reading and I hope you find some fall inspo on my blog this season. Have a lovely day! -xo, Azanique <3
Hi, friends! I hope everyone is having a lovely Friday 🙂 The weekend is finally here and holiday season sales are among us FINALLY. This week, I’m stocking up on the best deals for Thanksgiving looks, Christmas pictures and holiday parties. For Thanksgiving this year, I will be traveling to see some of my good friends and spend the holiday with their family for the first time in 3 years. SN: I haven’t spent a Thanksgiving with my family since 2011, which was when I was in high school, so every year, I either work the holiday or travel to be with friends or significant others and their family. I love getting the chance to travel and still hold a great relationship with some of my childhood friends.
What are y’alls favorite Thanksgiving traditions? Personally, I am not a huge fan of turkey so in my house with my family, we usually have ham and seafood as an alternative. Also, we would schedule time in the day to go to my highschool football game and have a good time with everyone there before enjoying Thanksgiving dinner. Anyway, since I don’t go home for Thanksgiving, I love that I get to enjoy the traditions of my friends and have fun with their families. Anyway, this weekend there are tons of sales and I’ve rounded them up here. Happy shopping 🙂
Hi friends, happy Tuesday! This week is already in full swing and I look up to see that it is already November 7th. HOW, SWAY? I personally think that once the days get shorter, that the season starts to speed up because I feel like Halloween was yesterday and LDW was last week. However, I am loving the cooler weather and holiday cheer. This weekend, I got a head start on holiday decorating at my apartment. One of my favorites part about having my own condo is that there is no one to tell me that it is too early to put up Christmas decoration and I love it. When different holidays come around, I make small changes and decor arrangements. For example, I change out all my table settings, kitchen hands towels, scented candles and pillows. In addition, I get to planning my holiday trips. In a few weeks I will be traveling with my hometown friends for a weekend vacation then in December, hopefully traveling to the eastern part of the state and will be looking for the best fall festivities to do at that time. What are y’alls favorite fall festivities? Mine always include going to a pumpkin patch, but besides that, my list is a little short and I definitely need some help. Let me know in the comments!
So today, I’m sharing my first month round-up. Let’s get started!
