Happy Thursday, friends 🙂 We’re officially over the hump of the week and in the fast last lane to the weekend. Can y’all believe that it is November? I honestly feel like September and October were gone in the blink of an eye. Truly, I think that the last 4 months of the year (September- December) go by the quickest of every other season. That is probably because I love the fall and colder weather and because we have so little of both here in North Carolina. Anyway, the weather here has been a little harsh but will be in the low 70s all weekend long, so I cannot complain! This weekend, I want to start decorating for Christmas (I know, I know – please judge lightly). In the 3 years that I have lived in my current home, I haven’t had a Christmas tree but I definitely think this year is the year for me to finally get one. Since I have never had my own tree, I want to start shopping early so I get first dibs. I also want to get a bunch of decorations before Thanksgiving and Black Friday madness.
On Tuesday, I shared my everyday fall look, and today I’m sharing another fall look that I love to mix up. This rust color is basically fall, if you had to define it by one tone. I seriously adore this sweater because the cowl neck detail makes it easy to dress up or to dress down, plus, it is lightweight and can be worn throughout different seasons. If you’ve been following my blog for some time, you know that I try to buy pieces that can be worn in more than one season to maximize wear. Another one of my closet staples, that y’all see so often, is white jeans from Old Navy. I snagged these black OTK boots a few weeks and y’all, they are literally SO comfortable – it’s insane. Pairing with a fun herringbone vest and gold hoop earrings, my perfect fall outfit is complete with staple pieces from my closet. This month, I am trying to pull out more pieces from my current wardrobe to shop and style with a few new pieces mixed in the middle. As much as I wanted to do a shopping detox this month, with all the holiday sales and events, that probably will not happen. I think that pulling more from my personal wardrobe and only styling 1-2 new pieces per look, I will get more wear out of my clothes focus on adding quality pieces to my wardrobe.
Just like Tuesday’s post, we shot this outfit on a parking garage rooftop at a few different angles and I did very little editing to these. I am currently searching for an Instagram “theme” #BloggerProbs and will be trying different styles this month, so please be patient with me! I hope that y’all enjoy this post and have a lovely day. -xo, Azanique <3

Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope everyone has had a lovely start to their week. Today of the second day (duh) of my daily posts for this week and I’m so excited to share this post. Once I started writing, I realized that this outfit was breaking many fashion rules:
Shirts as dresses: For some reason, people are against wearing shirts as a dress, but this “dress” is actually a sweater that was long on me so I wanted to style it as a dress.
White after Labor Day: It’s after Labor Day and I’m wearing white, oh well. I have never been a fan of this rule because y’all know that white jeans are a year around staple for me.
Editing all pictures: I barely did any editing to these photos. My photographer and I decided to shoot this week on top of the parking garage downtown and were blessed with amazing light and sun at about 5pm, which worked to our advantage.
Anyway, I had so much fun with this outfit because it is simple, but composed of all my summer must-haves: Sweater dresses, blanket scarves and over the knee boots. My sweater/dress is from one of my favorite retailers, PinkBlush. What I love most about this sweater/dress is that I can style it again this winter as a top with jeans and booties or with a blazer and pumps for a work social. This is my first year purchasing taupe over the knee boots but I absolutely love these. They are perfect for girls with thicker calves, like myself, because they have extra stretch in the back and the top half is a little loose. My earrings are super lightweight and my stretch bracelets are my fall jewelry staple. This outfit will be on major repeat this season, especially with the weather wavering between summer and fall and winter, all in a weeks time. Well anyway, that’s all that I have for you friends. Thanks so much for reading & I’ll see you again tomorrow. – xo, Azanique <3
Thank you North Carolina FC for providing us with suite tickets for this game.
Happy Monday, friends 🙂 I am so excited for this new week and the cooler temps that are coming our way. If you’re in North Carolina, you know that this weekend we skipped from fall straight to winter with temps in the 40s. However, I am ready to pull out the winter and fall attire and layer up this season. I am obsessed with colder weather and really miss it because in NC, the weather is warm up until Christmas day, with a little cold January & February, then back to warmer temperatures. As much as a I love the warmer weather, being from NJ, I am so used to having a full cold winter and getting snow multiple times throughout the season.
So last weekend, my mom and I were lucky enough to be able to attend of first professional football match EVER. The North Carolina Football Club is a new soccer team in Cary, North Carolina, which is about an hour from where I live. We attended the last home match of the season and got to enjoy it from the suite, which was the best experience y’all – forreal! The suite was full of dedicated fans and families, catered dinner, unlimited beer and wine, connected outside seating and multiples televisions. When we arrived, we grabbed ourselves a beer and head straight to the taco bar. Since we were new to professional soccer, we had a lot of questions but were so pleased that other people in the suite were also newbies and we connected to help each other learn more and better enjoy the match. At the halftime break, there was an ice cream stand not too far from our suite, so we traveled with some of the new people we met to grab ice cream and chat about how intense the game at been. At the end, we were tied 1-1, but were so close to scoring again in those final minutes. The most mazing thing was that after the game, news broke that the team had made it to playoffs, which is so wonderful and well deserved. My mom and I hope to attend another game in the spring or early fall, just so there is more daylight and we can tailgate with our friends. Overall, this was such a fun experience and I am glad I got to bring my mom along and meet so many new people. -xo, Azanique
