Just incredible! If you loved The Vanishing Half or Summer on the Bluffs, story with generational links and drama, you’ll love this book! Our book club had such a fun and full conversation not only about the characters but the stories and secrets we carry generation from generation. I loved getting to know the mom through her letter left to the kids and seeing how the family has shifted and shaped over black cake.
