Sister Friends Forever

I wanted to L O V E this book but it felt truly like an old school Tyler Perry movie. The women, all described as 40 years old, acted 25-30 years. A lot of the storylines felt very “gotcha” and like the author really didn’t want any of the women to succeed. What I did love was showcasing Black adult women friendships and a diversity of careers and life paths. This was a book club pick and like me, my book slub felt that the women were a bit immature and felt more like late-20s to early-30s vesus established 40 years old.
