Okay, I have so many thoughts! Number one, this book is scary! If you liked When No One is Watching by Alyssa Cole (she is awesome, BTW, and was a gem to have on book club), this book is the next level, more scary and intense 2.0 option. Second, this book has a little bit of everything: anxiety in young adults, addiction, divorce, kicks career options, gentrification, big business of prisons and so much more much. The book is quite lengthy but wow, the book ends with you holding your breath and wondering what happens next.
