Darling friends, happy February! If you’re anything like me, you’re enjoying the last few weeks of dark days, filled with lit candles and early dinners, while absolutely looking forward to the end of Day Light Savings for the warmer, longer days ahead. Like every other season, the change of weather always provides much needed motivation to finish, start or brainstorm on projects. This includes home projects, wardrobe refreshes, vacation planning and so on and so on. This Spring, I have a living room and dining room refresh on my mind along with a full closet clean out. Admittedly, there’s nothing wrong with my living and dinning room and my closet functions as is. However, especially in my living room, I‘ve been wanting to swap out the causal chairs I have for something more comfortable and move around some art. I’m lucky enough to be working with a fun partner to make a few changes this season including reupholstering two super comfy slipper chairs I found vintage shopping, add in new pillows and bring a hero fabric into the dinning room, which will unite the two spaces.
Before I make those small, yet impactful changes to the rooms, I figured now would be a great time to chat through my home as it stands, or stood as of October 2025, when I recorded my Homeworthy tour that premiered late December. ICYMI, the tour is linked below and is a full 57 minutes of me yapping and yapping about art, hosting, my favorite things and stories of found objects.
So today I’m answering the most asked about questions across comments, emails and DMs (which have been a delight to respond to):

Q | Where are the dining chairs from?
A | Dining chairs are “Judson” from Lulu & Georgia. They are performance fabric (!!!) and super comfy. I purchased them on sale then had a discount code to knock off about $180/chair. Still could be considered spendy for one chair but the fabric alone would have probably cost more to find, then source antique chairs and have reupholstered in a performance blush.
Q | What’s the total square footage of your home?
A | Just under 2000 sq/ft
Q | Who is the Sophia artist in your dining room?
A | Sophia Becker is the artist! I totally blanked on her last name during the tour. I found her on Facebook Marketplace and at the moment, she doesn’t have a website. There’s another great artist I love with a similar style named Giselle in Cary, NC who ships.
Q | Where are the table linens from?
A | During the tour, the table was set with Sophie Williams placemats and napkins.

Q | Where is your dress from?
A | This dress is old Tuckernuck. Sadly, it’s no longer available but this silhouette style, Callahan, is very popular and has a new pattern or fabric every year or so.
Q | Where is your desk from?
A | Another FBMP find. It was used in a commercial office for two but fits perfectly as an oversized desk just for me.
Q | Where is the sofa from?
A | Another oldie but goodie from Poly & Bark. I’ve had this sofa since I lived in Austin in 2022 and although it’s due for a cleaning, it’s been a true workhorse and favorite piece in three homes.
Q | Where are the animal print chairs from?
A | The Inside in pattern Faline. Looks like this style is no longer sold but the Acro Dining Chair is very similar.
Q | What size is the print in your office with the butterflies?
A | That piece by Kabriah Asha is an 18×24 hand-embellished print of EDEN. If you want to learn more about this artist, I just published a fun interview with her over on my Substack, Where Art Meets Home.
Q | How can I join the book club? (My favorite question!)
A | We are always accepting new book club members and you can find our Facebook group here. Not on Facebook? Bookmark this bookclub page and check back on the 1st of the month for updates. We usually meet the last Tuesday or Thursday of the month. Next month, March 2026, we have a super exciting author joining us to chat about the second book we’re reading by her. (Hint: her first book was made into a Hulu limited series!)
Q | How do you keep track of the books you have (+ when people borrow)?
A | Short answer: I don’t. I want to digitize my library at some point this year but haven’t committed to anything yet. And for borrowing, I don’t keep track. I often tell friends to pay the book forward by allowing someone to borrow from them or dropping the book into a Little Free Library when they are finished.
Q | Can you help me find art for my home/office/playroom?
A | I’d be happy to! Email me azanique@lotsofsass.com and we can chat about what you’re looking for, budget, inspiration and everything in between.
Shameless plug: I started a Substack October 2024 to talk all about art so follow along there too.
Q | What’s your favorite item in your home?
A | It’s too hard pick just one so I’ll pick a few:
- Favorite art: Chicago Boys go to Africa (first photo above)
- Favorite piece of furniture: banquette in my office (was previously in my Myers Park living room)
- Favorite fabric: Penny Morrison in my living room on throw pillows
- Favorite table book: at present, Caroline Gidiere’s debut, Interiors for A Life in Good Taste
- Favorite room: easily, guest room! I always feel lucky to have a dedicated space for visitors
Well friends, that’s all for today! More of the art focused questions will be over on Substack in the future. I am so grateful for the kind words on the tour and all of your support.
Can’t wait to share what’s next for the few spaces getting a Spring refresh this year. Chat soon xo
