Hey friends! Happy taco Tuesday to ya 🙂 I hope everyone had a lovely and warm weekend! It was so beautiful here on Sunday and Monday that I had a hard time getting work done. I enjoyed a bunch of fun outdoor activities and took time to soak up the beautiful weather while it was here for a short period. To make this weekend even better, I was in bed at 7:30pm on Saturday and couldn’t have been happier. However, I was slightly regretting it on Monday at 8am when I started making my to-do list and realized that I have a ton to get done this week. This year, I am striving for balance and am hoping to eliminate Saturdays from my work schedule altogether. Right now, between working “normal” jobs + blogging, I currently work 7 days a week. As you can imagine, coffee is basically my best friend and 8 hours of sleep is my distant cousin, TBH. In my last #WorkWearWednesday post, I talked all about balancing my hectic life + answered FAQs, so be sure to catch up on that to learn more about my “normal” day jobs.
Can y’all believe that we are just a few weeks away from Valentine’s Day? I feel like it was literally just Christmas and now I’m planning gift guides for him + her for V-Day! Last year, my friends & I challenged each other to take “untraditional valentine’s dates” for fun. For example, instead of a fancy dinner at a crowded restaurant with a three hour wait, some of us had Valentine’s Day lunch dates/picnics or went rock climbing as our “date” plus several other things along those lines. It was such a fun way to change up the normal holiday routine. Anyway, I found this adorable dress for under $60 around the holidays and think it will be perfect for the fit + flare dress lovers out there! The style is flattering for every body stop and gives you some midsection room so you can fit those extra glasses of champagne and dessert in with dinner without showing it. My jeweled bib necklace is a clearance find from the SugarFix by BaubleBar at Target. They have so many trendy + stylish pieces that are super affordable and easy to style all year long. I just recently snagged these: mint earrings | corral tiered earrings | beaded necklace | SugarFix by BaubleBar at Target
What are your go-to Valentine’s Day/Night plans? Have you ever thought about changing them up? If not, I suggest trying something new this year and starting a new tradition. I would love to hear about your current plans or what you are debating about doing! Leave me a comment & let me know 🙂 Have a great day y’all -xo, Azanique <3
